Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

We're seeking a licensed Tennessee Occupational Therapist to join our team. We are looking for a licensed OT that has a passion for pediatrics. Recently or soon to graduate OTs are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will provide direct patient care in that they will be responsible for not only evaluating and assigning goals to patients, but also treating and/or managing treatments by assigned COTAs.

We provide treatment to children with diagnoses such autism (Level 1-3), Downs Syndrome, attention deficit disorder, cerebral palsy, and developmental delay in a clinic setting. For safety and efficacy reasons, we do not see children in the home setting.

Aspire is a small occupational therapy practice owned by an OTR/L and her husband. We have four exceptional and experienced COTAs working for us and the growing waiting list for more. As a small practice, we can and do practice empathy and tolerance when life happens to our employees (both planned and unplanned). Our employees also enjoy unfettered access to and daily communication with a practicing owner of the company. We honestly value and treat our employees as family. Responsibilities:

• Facilitate treatment of patients with emotional, physical, or mental disabilities
• Monitor and assess patient treatment programs.
• Convey treatment results and patient progress to relevant parties.
• Organize and update patient records.
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment.
• Turn in billable notes within 36 hours of treatment.
• Maintain an accurate and up to date schedule in the company’s EHR/calendar.
• Ability to travel to treat children in local daycare settings as needed. This ideally will be minimal as scheduling emphasis will prioritize our location in Bartlett.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in Tennessee
• Ability to build rapport with patients, caregivers, parents, as well as other professionals.
• Passion to help and motivate children in our community.
• Excellent electronic, written, and verbal communication skills
